A boom cover reduces the mainsail’s direct exposure to UV, rain, salt and dirt while it is stowed on the boom. It can be made in acrylic marine canvas, with a collar around the mast and fastenings beneath the boom. The exact fabric and fastening layout are selected to suit the sail, rig and intended use.
