The combination of custom design, construction and high-end materials is intended to preserve an efficient flying shape across a wider wind range.
Sail shape, cloth, construction and handling details are selected for the individual yacht and cruising program.
Current Ullman information lists Voyager Dacron, UltraCruise woven Ultra-PE cloth and Voyager FiberPath as the principal cloth choices.

Each Voyager sail is custom-built for the yacht and its cruising requirements.
The series is offered in Voyager Dacron, UltraCruise and Voyager FiberPath constructions.
Ullman uses 3D design tools and numerical analysis to optimize sail shape and structure before production.
Voyager Series
Voyager durability comes from selecting the appropriate high-end material and construction for the yacht. Exact reinforcement and finishing vary by project.
The cross-cut Dacron option prioritizes durability, reinforced construction and straightforward handling for offshore cruising and extended voyages.
This woven Ultra-PE and polyester option is selected for low stretch and high tear resistance in demanding cruising applications.
A custom fiber layout aligns reinforcement with the sail’s expected loads; protective taffeta may be included for cruising durability.
Reinforcement, thread, hardware and UV protection are selected for the individual sail and must be confirmed in the loft quotation.
Voyager sails share this verified product profile; exact components vary with the yacht and selected construction.

Voyager Series

A reinforced cross-cut woven-polyester option for durable, straightforward offshore cruising sails.
A woven Ultra-PE and polyester option selected where low stretch and high tear resistance are priorities.

Luff, furling, reefing and attachment details are configured for the yacht’s installed equipment.
Covers, protective treatments, hardware and finishing are specified for the intended climate and use.
Where specified, ePTFE thread provides resistance to UV, saltwater and extreme weather; confirm its use with the loft.
GORE® TENARA® is an ePTFE sewing thread for outdoor and marine applications. Gore states that it resists UV sunlight, saltwater, extreme weather, acid rain and many chemicals.
It does not absorb water and is designed for extended seam life. Its use on a Voyager sail is project-specific and must be confirmed with the local loft; it should not be assumed to be standard on every sail.
